Joining ICRN
The Independent Community Radio Network periodically reviews applications to join the network. Applications are reviewed by the ICRN Board, which comprises of representatives of our members.
What does it mean to be part of ICRN?
ICRN is a network of independent community radios from across Europe. By becoming a member, representatives of your radio team are invited to:
- Join our monthly meetings and workshops;
- Take part in working groups and other opportunities, both paid and unpaid;
- To contribute to our resources library, monthly newsletters, and editorials;
- Invited to join (or host) our annual gatherings;
- Access to our Discord channel;
- Contribute to steering the direction of our work through joint funding applications and attending our annual assembly.
Support members have reduced involvement but are still invited to be part of our Discord channel, attend monthly meetings and workshops, among other activities.

If you're a community radio and would like to be part of our work, please get in touch via hello@icrn.live It would help if you could include the following in your email:
- Briefly describe your radio station: your focus, where you're located, and who your community is.
- Tell us why you'd like to join ICRN: what are you looking to gain from the collaboration, and what could you contribute?
- In a few words, explain your radio's legal status and independence.
- Please also indicate which type of membership you'd like to apply for:
Full Member — for independent community radios.
Support Member — open to radio stations who want to be involved in a reduced capacity, to organisations or initiatives related to sound and radio, to other networks, and in some cases researchers or individuals.
Note: To sustain our network and joint infrastructure, we ask that members contribute an annual fee. This is currently set at 120 EUR for full members and 60 EUR for support members. Fees can be paid annually or monthly and go towards the basic operating costs of the network. If you'd like to join but are experiencing financial difficulties, please let us know in your application.
