he Grapevine #6: Amateurs ↗

What does it mean to be a radio amateur? A radio romantic, someone who is in it for the fun and the pleasure, for the sheer love of broadcasting? In this show, Matteo and Ieva confess, embrace, and enjoy their amateurness: by going through the radio history from a perspective of an accesssible, cheap and playful media tool; by exposing the seams of making this show; and by sharing how having hams for fingers might actually be the best way to enjoy the collective work and the collective benefit of a community radio studio. Tune in, fellow radio dilletants and dabblers, all who love to love radio – and to share that love with others.

New Project: Baltic Rehearsals ↗

ICRN has announced Baltic Rehearsals, a new residency project developed in collaboration with Latvian and Estonian network members Tīrkultūra and IDA Radio. Bringing together four pairs of artists from the experimental music scenes of Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn, the project unfolds across summer residencies in each Baltic capital, culminating in performances at Le Guess Who? Festival in November as part of the COSMOS programme and broadcast live via Refuge Worldwide. A compilation album and physical release will follow in early 2027. Supported by Baltic Culture Fund.
